Wir möchten für Euch einen offenen Brief von 120 Ärzten und Professoren veröffentlichen die aktuell in einem Aufruf die sofortige Supplementierung von Vitamin D für Hochrisikogruppen verlangen.

Mehr als 200 Wissenschaftler und Ȁrzte fordern eine erhöhte Vitamin-D-Einnahme zur Bekämpfung von COVID-19

Wissenschaftliche Studien deuten darauf hin, dass Vitamin-D Einnahme Infektionen und Todesfälle reduzieren kann.

An alle Regierungen, Mitarbeiter des öffentlichen Gesundheitswesens, Ȁrzte und Mitarbeiter des Gesundheitswesens, Forschungsergebnisse zeigen, dass ein niedriger Vitamin-D-Spiegel sehr wahrscheinlich zu COVID-19- Infektionen, Krankenhausaufenthalten und Todesfällen beiträgt. Deshalb fordern wir eine sofortige, weit verbreitete und erhöhte Vitamin-D-Einnahme.

Vitamin D beeinflusst tausende Gene und viele Aspekte sowohl der angeborenen als auch der erworbenen Immunfunktion. Wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse zeigen:

● Höhere Vitamin-D-Werte im Blut sind mit niedrigeren Raten der SARS-CoV-2-Infektion assoziiert.

● Bei höheren Vitamin-D-Werten ist das Risiko eines schweren Krankheitsverlaufes (Krankenhauseinweisung, Intensivstation oder Tod) niedriger.

● Interventionsstudien und randomisierte kontrollierte Studien zeigen, dass Vitamin-D eine sehr wirksame Behandlung sein kann.

● Viele Publikationen zeigen mehrere biologische Mechanismen auf, durch die Vitamin-D COVID-19 beeinflusst.

● Kausales-Inferenz-Modelling, Hill's Kriterien, Interventionsstudien und biologische Mechanismen legen nahe, dass der Einfluss von Vitamin-D auf COVID-19 sehr wahrscheinlich kausal ist und nicht nur auf Korrelation beruht.

Obwohl Vitamin-D bekanntermaßen lebensnotwendig ist, bekommen aber die meisten Menschen nicht genug davon. Nach Angaben der meisten Regierungsorganisationen liegt Defizienz bei <20 ng/ml (50 nmol/L) vor, Insuffizienz nach Angaben mehrerer medizinischer Gesellschaften und Experten bei <30 ng ml (75 nmol/L). Zu viele Leute haben einen Vitamin-D Spiegel unterhalb dieser Werte.

Eine Vitamin-D Defizienz von <20 ng/ml liegt bei mehr als 33% der Bevölkerung in den meisten Teilen der Welt vor und schätzungsweise leiden űber 50% der Weltbevölkerung an einer Insuffizienz von <30 ng/ml. Im Winter sind die Raten noch höher. Mehrere Bevölkerungsgruppen haben einen beträchtlichen Mangel: Übergewichtige, Pflegeheimbewohner und Menschen mit dunkler Haut, besonders wenn sie weit vom Äquator entfernt leben. Dieselben Bevölkerungsgruppen sind auch einem erhöhten COVID-19-Risiko ausgesetzt.

Studien zeigen, daẞ 97,5% der Menschen täglich 3875 IE (97μg) benötigen, um einen Level von 20 ng/ml zu erreichen und sogar 6200 IE (155μg), um 30 ng/ml zu erreichen. Diese Einnahmen liegen weit über allen nationalen Richtlinien. Leider enthält der Bericht, der der empfohlenen US-amerikanischen täglichen Einnahmemenge zugrunde liegt, einen bestätigten statistischen Fehler: Die erforderliche Aufnahmemenge wurde ca. 10 Mal zu niedrig kalkuliert. Zahlreiche Aufrufe in der wissenschaftlichen Literatur, die offiziell empfohlene Einnahmemenge zu erhöhen, waren beim Beginn der SARS-CoV-2-Pandemie noch nicht erfolgreich. Jetzt zeigen viele Publikationen, daẞ Vitamin- D stärker auf COVID-19 wirken könnte als auf andere Infektionen: Erhöhtes COVID-19 Risiko liegt vor bei 25(OH)-Spiegeln <30 ng/ml (75 nmol/L) und ein stark erhöhtem Risiko bei 25(OH)-Spiegeln von <20 ng/ml (50 nmol/L).

Bisherige Erkenntnisse deuten darauf hin, dass COVID-19 zum großen Teil Menschen mit niedrigem Vitamin-D-Spiegel infiziert und dass Todesfälle mit einem Mangel an Vitamin-D einhergehen. Auch ohne zusätzlich Daten deutet die Forschungslage darauf hin, dass ein erhöhter Vitamin-D-Spiegel hilfreich wäre, Infektionen, Krankenhausaufenthalte, Intensiveinweisungen und Todesfälle zu reduzieren.

Jahrzehntelange Forschung zeigt, daẞ Vitamin-D sehr risikoarm ist: Toxizität ist extrem selten bei diesen Empfehlungen. Vitamin-D Level, die den meisten Schutz gegen COVID-19 bieten, sind mit einem deutlich niedrigerem Risiko verbunden als Medikamente, wie z.B. Steroide (Dexamethasone), am weitesten akzeptierte der Behandlung bei COVID-19. Die Sicherheit von Vitamin-D gleicht eher der von Gesichtsmasken. Es ist nicht nötig auf weitere klinische Studien zu warten, um die Nutzung von etwas so Sicherem zu erhöhen, vor allem, wenn das Beheben der Defizienz/Insuffizienz schon jetzt Priorität haben sollte.

Daher rufen wir alle Regierungen, Ȁrzte und Mitarbeiter des Gesundheitswesens weltweit auf, die Erhöhung des Vitamin-D -Spiegels bei Erwachsenen sofort zu empfehlen und sich um eine Umsetzung dieser Empfehlung zu beműhen, zumindest bis zum Ende der Pandemie.

Konkret:

1. Empfehlen Sie Vitamin-D-Mengen, aus allen Quellen, die ausreichen, um einen 25(OH)D-Serumspiegel űber 30ng/ml (75 nmol/L) zu erreichen, ein weit bestätigtes Minimum mit erwiesenem reduzierten COVID-19-Risiko.

2. Empfehlen Sie Erwachsenen, täglich 4000 IE (100μg) einzunehmen (oder mindestens 2000 IE), wenn nicht getestet wurde. 4000 IE werden allgemein als sicher angesehen.

3. Empfehlen Sie Erwachsenen, die die oben genannten Mengen noch nicht erhalten, aber aufgrund von Übergewicht, dunkler Haut oder Leben in Altersheimen ein höheres Risiko der Defizienz haben, eine höhere Einnahme (z.B. 2x). Tests können helfen, zu niedrige oder zu hohe Werte zu vermeiden.

4. Empfehlen Sie Erwachsenen, die die oben genannten Mengen noch nicht erhalten, eine Einnahme von 10.000 IE (250μg) täglich űber 2-3 Wochen (oder bis zum Erreichen von 30 ng/ml im Test). Danach sollen sie eine tägliche Menge wie oben genannt einnehmen. Diese Vorgehensweise wird allgemein als sicher angesehen. Der Körper bildet an einem Sommertag am Strand grössere Vitamin-D-Mengen als gerade genannt. Die beiden Organisationen NAM (USA) und die EFSA (Europa) sagen, es sei keine beobachtete Nebenwirkung feststellbar, selbst bei täglicher Einnahme nicht.

5. Messen Sie den 25(OH)D-Spiegel aller COVID-19-Patienten im Krankenhaus und behandeln Sie mit Calcifediol oder D3, um zumindest die Insuffizienz <30 ng/ml (75 nmol/L) zu beheben. Die Behandlung der Insuffizienz könnte z.B. nach den Publikationen von Castillo et al. 20 oder Rastogi et al. 20 erfolgen, bis neue Erkenntnisse vorliegen.

Viele Faktoren sind bekannt, die zu einem höheren Risiko bei einer SARS-CoV-2 fűhren können, wie z.B. Alter, männliches Geschlecht, Komorbiditäten usw.. Aber ein unzureichender Vitamin-D-Spiegel ist bei weitem der am einfachsten zu behebende, am besten erforschte und am schnellsten modifizierbare Risikofaktor, um eine große Wirkung hervorzurufen. Vitamin-D ist preiswert und hat ein vernachlässigbares Risiko im Vergleich zum beträchtlichen Risiko von COVID-19.
